The SpArk cluster for innovation in sport and performance is launching the second edition of its call for solutions: SpArk LAB. This year, those with innovative solutions will have the unique opportunity to test their prototypes in real-life conditions, during the legendary Grand Raid BCVs mountain bike race.
The SpArk LAB transforms sporting events into genuine testing grounds, by bringing together innovators and organisers. The aim is to test prototypes in real-life conditions, validate innovative concepts and offer sporting events new avenues for development.
A unique opportunity for innovators
Participants will benefit from an exceptional setting in which to refine and validate their solutions, with :
- A real-life test on the Grand Raid BCVs course on Saturday 6 September 2025
- Privileged access to participants and the race organiser to gather feedback
- Tailor-made support, including personalised coaching and contacts with experts and partners
- Increased visibility, with the chosen solutions highlighted on social networks and at the event itself
What innovative solutions are being sought for the Grand Raid?
The BCVS Grand Raid is much more than a race, it’s a unique adventure in the heart of the Alps that brings together mountain bike enthusiasts in an exceptional setting every year. With a view to evolving and offering an ever more immersive experience, the event is looking to the future by seeking innovative solutions in four key areas:
- Digitalisation and immersion: integrating technologies (augmented reality, live tracking, interactive content) for a more immersive experience.
- Community experience and engagement: developing tools to encourage interaction and loyalty among participants before, during and after the race.
- Promoting the regions and the route: highlighting mountain biking and the destinations crossed to prolong the impact of the event.
- Intelligent mobility and logistics: sustainable solutions to optimise travel for participants, spectators and teams.
Applicants are also encouraged to propose innovative solutions outside these themes, as long as they help to improve the Grand Raid experience before, during and after the race!
Who is the SpArk LAB for?
The SpArk LAB is open to any person, team or company – from Switzerland or abroad – wishing to test, validate and develop an innovative idea related to mountain biking or the organisation of a sporting event.
